I love roasting food over the fire – you know, the standard hot dog and S’Mores regimen. We had a fall bonfire last night with some friends and I decided to create/feature other fun things you can roast over a fire. The biggest hits:
[Biscuit-wrapped dogs]: roll out biscuit dough in slender “snakes” and spiral up for guests to unravel and wrap their dogs
[Cinnamon sugar bananas]: slice up bananas and coat in cinnamon sugar – they caramelize nicely over the fire
The best part, all the food for the party cost less than $1 per person (including the skewers)! I’ve already got more ideas for our next “things you can roast on a stick” party. Got any ideas I should add to the menu?
